Role Overview

Join Tendril as a Data & Automation Lead and play a pivotal role in transforming how data powers our client's products and processes. You'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing innovative data solutions that directly impact product functionality and customer success.

This role offers the exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including AI, machine learning, and LLMs to solve complex data challenges. You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams to build scalable data pipelines and automation systems that ensure clean, structured, and reliable data feeds our product features.

As a key technical contributor, you'll have the autonomy to prototype new solutions, implement emerging technologies, and drive the evolution of our data infrastructure from concept to production.

Responsibilities

Design, prototype, build and test data models for product and process use
Collect, automate, structure and deliver data across Market Landscapes, Documents Database and City/Company/Product page suite
Work with product and customer success teams to optimize data collection, organization and structuring processes
Align mapping of new data sets to existing company, product, and government data hierarchies
Identify new data sources and acquisition methods based on customer needs
Create proof of concepts using scraping, AI, ML, LLMs and other emerging technologies
Operationalize disparate PO data sources using Python ETL automation with Pandas/regex/SQL
Implement entity extraction and content ML scoring using NER, fuzzy matching, and supervised models
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automation and data solutions into the product
Manage data throughout its lifecycle and implement solutions into production

Requirements

Proficiency in data mining, wrangling, and cleaning of large-scale datasets
Advanced Excel skills combined with Python (Pandas/NumPy)
Experience maintaining and deploying ML models (Transformers, Pattern Recognition)
Knowledge of model persistence (.pkl) handling
Experience with APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Hubspot, Slack)
Strong technical skills in data lifecycle management
Experience with SQL and ETL processes
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

Experience with AI and LLM technologies
Interest in emerging data technologies
Background in supervised machine learning model training
Experience with deduplication and data consolidation techniques
