Role Overview

Join Citi's Technology team as a Python Generative AI Automation Developer at the Assistant Vice President level, where you'll play a pivotal role in establishing and implementing cutting-edge AI-powered application systems. This intermediate-level position offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking applications systems analysis and programming activities that leverage the latest in generative AI technology.

You'll be at the forefront of building and deploying sophisticated LLM-based applications, working with state-of-the-art platforms and tools to create innovative solutions that drive business value. This role combines deep technical expertise in Python development with advanced knowledge of generative AI, offering the chance to shape the future of financial technology through intelligent automation.

Responsibilities

Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team
Build and tune LLM-based applications using platforms like Vertex, GPT, Llama, and Hugging Face
Create robust prompt engineering strategies and reusable prompt templates
Integrate generative AI with enterprise applications using APIs, knowledge graphs, and vector databases
Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and vector database solutions
Implement ML Ops practices including model evaluation, prompt tuning, and deployment pipelines
Manage and implement successful AI automation projects
Contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities
Work with orchestration tools to streamline AI application workflows

Requirements

7-11 years of relevant Python application development experience
Strong exposure to Generative AI technologies and frameworks
Proficiency in Python with libraries like Transformers, Pandas, scikit-learn, Seaborn, Lang Chain, LlamaIndex, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
Experience building applications with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or open-source LLMs
Working knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and vector databases
Understanding of ML Ops, model evaluation, prompt tuning, and deployment pipelines
Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques and methods
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements

Nice to Have

Experience with vector databases such as PG Vector, Neo4j, MongoDB
Knowledge of knowledge graphs and enterprise integration patterns
Familiarity with cloud AI platforms and services
Experience with orchestration tools for AI workflows
