Role Overview

Join Ibotta's innovative AI and Automation Solutions team as an Associate Platform Engineer, where you'll create and implement cutting-edge AI and automation tools that supercharge business operations. This role offers the opportunity to work with a small, nimble team where every engineer has meaningful input into engineering culture, products, and development processes.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver products used by millions of users, while partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Operations to translate business processes into automated workflows and Agentic AI solutions. Working with Amazon's AWS infrastructure and serverless architectures daily, you'll help build, maintain, and make accessible the tools and capabilities of the emergent AI and Automation solutions platform.

Responsibilities

Create and implement cutting-edge AI and automation tools for business operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver products for millions of users
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Operations teams
Translate business processes into automated workflows and Agentic AI solutions
Build, maintain, and enhance AI and Automation solutions platform
Work with AWS infrastructure and serverless architectures
Contribute to engineering culture, products, and development processes
Make AI and automation tools accessible across the organization

Requirements

0-1+ years of experience in software development
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or related field
Fundamental knowledge of object-oriented software design, development and architectural principles
Deep understanding of development best practices including security, compliance, performance, and cost efficiency
Deep understanding of building highly scalable, observable, and fault tolerant platforms using architectural patterns
Strong experience with relevant technologies such as Typescript, Ruby on Rails, Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Vue, Swift
Experience with data stores such as MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis
Experience working with workflow automation tools like n8n
Experience working with AI agents and AI engineering concepts like LLMs, Evaluations and Prompting
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
