Role Overview

Join CLEAResult as a Senior Manager of Marketing Automation and lead the transformation of our email marketing capabilities. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise, guiding a dynamic team that delivers high-volume client-facing email campaigns while modernizing processes and embracing automation technologies.

You'll split your time between people management and technical execution, building trusted relationships with clients and internal teams while driving innovation in our email marketing operations. This is an opportunity to shape the future of our email marketing function, implementing modern workflows, better tools, and data-driven approaches that support our mission of creating sustainable energy solutions.

Working in a fast-paced agency-style environment, you'll help rebuild team stability and trust while positioning the organization for long-term growth through improved automation, AI integration, and streamlined processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Email Marketing team, providing clear direction and support for daily operations
Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal teams, clients, and trade allies
Plan, execute, and oversee email campaigns from conception to completion
Modernize team processes and workflows, implementing automation and AI tools where beneficial
Manage project assignments and resource allocation to ensure deadlines are met
Develop long-term strategic plans for team growth, including tools, data, and workflow improvements
Stay current with email marketing trends, regulations, and privacy requirements to ensure compliance
Serve as the primary email marketing expert for client and internal partner inquiries
Establish and maintain quality control processes to minimize errors and maintain high standards
Support organizational change management and team modernization initiatives

Requirements

Hands-on experience working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
Strong understanding of email message, journey, and campaign development
Ability to work with data and use analytics to guide decisions and improvements
Minimum 10 years of experience in Marketing, including Email or Marketing Automation
At least 5 years of people management experience beyond team lead roles
Strong process analysis and improvement capabilities
Clear and effective communication skills
Hands-on leadership approach with willingness to engage directly in work
Strong problem-solving skills with calm, thoughtful approach under pressure

Nice to Have

SFMC certifications (Email Specialist, Consultant, or Admin)
Experience with project tracking tools such as Workfront
Background in agency or large corporate environments
Experience leading change management and system modernization initiatives
Comfort using AI tools (like Copilot) for writing, planning, and problem-solving
Curiosity and openness to new automation technologies and team growth strategies
