Role Overview

Join a fast-growing AI education and automation consultancy based in Austria that helps coaches, consultants, solopreneurs, and small businesses adopt AI and automation in practical and compliant ways. As an AI & Automation Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining robust automation workflows for both client systems and internal operations.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies including LLMs, RAG systems, and vector databases while implementing practical automation solutions that drive real business value. You'll collaborate with consultants and architects to transform concepts into functional solutions, working on diverse projects that span from workflow automation to AI-driven applications.

This is a fully remote position with flexible hours, requiring daily overlap during CET morning hours while offering autonomy in managing your remaining work schedule.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain workflow automations using tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, and Power Automate
Develop and manage RPA solutions based on technical requirements
Integrate systems and APIs following defined interface documentation
Implement LLM-based applications (GPT, Claude, open-source models) according to specifications
Build RAG systems and vector databases following architecture guidelines
Prepare, clean, and structure data for AI applications
Deploy and configure AI agents and chatbots
Conduct testing and quality assurance for implemented automations
Perform error analysis, debugging, and continuous optimization of existing workflows
Maintain clear and structured technical documentation for all solutions
Provide regular reporting on implementation progress and technical challenges
Support effort estimation and planning for new projects

Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in automation, AI implementation, or related technical roles
Strong proficiency in Python programming
Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Make.com and n8n
Practical experience with AI/LLM technologies, including OpenAI API, Anthropic API, LangChain
Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant)
Proficiency in data processing, including JSON, REST APIs, webhooks, and databases
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
Demonstrated ability to execute projects reliably and transform concepts into functional solutions
Strong attention to detail and adherence to specifications
High degree of self-reliance and ability to work independently
Effective team communication skills for asynchronous collaboration
Availability for 8:00-12:00 CET daily overlap

Nice to Have

Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (Zapier, Power Automate)
Experience in prompt engineering and LLM optimization
Knowledge of Docker and containerized deployment environments
Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as CrewAI, AutoGen, or LangGraph
Experience working with remote, distributed teams across multiple time zones
Experience with project management tools including ClickUp, Asana, or Notion
