Role Overview

As an AI Automation Analyst at Allica Bank, you will play a critical role in identifying optimization opportunities and deploying scalable automation solutions that improve internal productivity and straight-through processing. You'll work closely with teams across Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data to deliver high-impact solutions using Microsoft AI technologies, modern automation platforms, and internal datasets.

This role combines strong analytical skills with hands-on technical capabilities, requiring you to build AI agents and tools, integrate systems via APIs, work with SQL, and leverage AI platforms to solve real business problems. You'll collaborate with the Product Operations Lead and Programme Director to define use cases, build prioritized backlogs, and develop production-level, scalable AI tools.

Working within Programme Management at the heart of Allica, you'll contribute to high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that shape the bank's direction in a fast-moving, problem-solving environment where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered internal tools using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure AI services
Build and maintain integrations with REST APIs, including authentication, structured data handling, and workflow orchestration
Use SQL to query and structure data for use in AI models, analytics, and automation pipelines
Develop scalable automation that optimizes internal workflows and reduces manual effort across the bank
Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Build prototypes and iterate quickly based on user feedback
Perform testing, validation, and deployment of AI solutions into production environments
Train teams on the use of AI tools and self-service automation capabilities
Document solutions, build knowledge resources, and promote best practices
Identify new opportunities for AI adoption by analyzing operational processes and data
Ensure automations are robust, compliant, and aligned with internal governance frameworks
Contribute to the development of bank-wide AI/automation roadmaps and capability uplift

Requirements

Hands-on experience with SQL for querying, transforming, and preparing data
Experience developing solutions in Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, or similar low-code AI platforms
Familiarity with Azure AI services including model hosting, vector search, and orchestration
Experience working with REST APIs and/or MCP Servers
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Ability to work in iterative, fast-paced delivery environments
Experience collaborating with engineering, data, and security teams to ensure regulatory and compliance standards

Nice to Have

Experience with Azure Foundry / Azure ML or similar enterprise AI platforms
Familiarity with LLM-based application patterns (retrieval-augmented generation, agents, prompt engineering)
Understanding of data governance, model risk considerations, and regulatory expectations in financial services
Experience with scripting languages such as Python
Background in automation, business analysis, or process optimization
Understanding of system architecture
Understanding of model & product governance and frameworks
