Role Overview

Join a dynamic team as an AI Automation Specialist working with the United States Postal Service to revolutionize business operations through cutting-edge automation technologies. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement AI-driven systems that automate complex business processes using advanced tools including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

You'll work in a hybrid environment combining on-premises Windows/Unix/Linux systems with cloud-based platforms, collaborating across CISO Security and CIO teams to deliver mission-critical automation solutions. This position requires expertise in system architecture, workflow design, and building processes using Postal tools while ensuring data integrity and supporting essential operations.

The role demands hands-on experience with AI/ML libraries, low-code/no-code platforms, major cloud services, and enterprise tools including Microsoft Power Tools, Splunk, Databricks, and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and deploy automated systems combining AI, machine learning, RPA bots, Microsoft Power Tools, Databricks, and Splunk
  • Analyze repetitive, time-consuming business processes to determine optimal automation solutions using Postal tools
  • Write and update code, build custom scripts, and integrate AI models into existing infrastructure
  • Monitor and optimize automation performance, troubleshoot errors, and ensure system scalability
  • Collaborate with IT and CISO stakeholders to define KPIs and align automation with organizational goals
  • Maintain and support automation systems during off-hours and weekends as needed
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across automated workflows
  • Support mission-critical operations through reliable automation implementation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience specifically in automation/AI-related work
  • Proficiency in scripting, Python, and either Java or R
  • Experience with AI/ML libraries and low-code/no-code tools
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Tools, Splunk, Databricks, SharePoint, Okta automation, and ServiceNow
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and RPA platforms
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and troubleshoot complex data ingestion/parsing issues
  • Knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) and workflow optimization
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or 10 years equivalent experience)
  • Exposure to network security or cybersecurity
  • Active Secret clearance or Public Trust clearance required
