Role Overview

Join JLL's People Operations & Employee Experience team as an HR Data & Automation Analyst, where you'll play a crucial role in modernizing HR operations through technology and data-driven insights. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to build automated workflows, dashboards, and reporting systems that connect multiple HR data sources to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.

Working with cutting-edge HR technologies including Smartsheet, Workday, and various automation platforms, you'll streamline people processes, improve data accuracy, and surface insights that strengthen retention, compliance, and overall employee experience. This role is perfect for someone passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex HR challenges while working closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and automate Smartsheet workflows, dashboards, and data pipelines for HR operations and employee lifecycle processes
  • Integrate multiple HR data sources (Workday, ER trackers, LOA systems, surveys) into unified reporting systems
  • Extract, transform, and analyze Workday data to support reporting, reconciliation, and cross-system integration
  • Develop automated reporting for headcount, retention/attrition, onboarding, compliance, and workforce health metrics
  • Maintain data quality through audits, validation rules, and automated error checks
  • Improve documentation and file management through structured, automated systems
  • Partner with People Partners, PXPs, ER, Learning, and Compliance teams to translate HR needs into scalable tools
  • Design automated solutions that enhance employee experience and reduce manual administrative work
  • Support HR leadership with ad hoc analysis, data pulls, and operational insights
  • Surface trends related to performance, productivity, engagement, and employee experience to inform decision-making

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Smartsheet automation, formulas, dashboards, and data mesh
  • Ability to connect, reconcile, and maintain data across HR systems, especially Workday
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a people-centric approach
  • Experience with reporting tools (Smartsheet dashboards, Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools)
  • Understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 0-2 years of HR experience supporting employee-facing processes or HR operations
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday
  • Familiarity with APIs, data connectors, or integration tools
  • Exposure to automation platforms (Zapier, Power Automate, Workato)
  • Experience with HR shared services, case management, or employee request systems
  • Business acumen and ability to influence HR partners using data-driven insights
