Role Overview

Join our team as an AI Automation Strategist / Solutions Architect, where you'll step into businesses, decode their operations, and transform messy workflows into sleek, AI-powered systems. This role is perfect for someone who thinks in processes, spots inefficiencies quickly, and loves turning complexity into clarity.

You'll lead discovery conversations with founders and team leads, map current workflows across departments, and identify high-impact automation opportunities. Your core deliverable will be creating structured AI automation roadmaps that include current state analysis, recommended solutions, implementation plans, and estimated business impact.

This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to work across diverse businesses, from startups to SMBs, helping them leverage AI and automation to drive meaningful operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery conversations with founders, operators, and team leads to understand business operations
  • Map current workflows across departments including sales, operations, finance, and marketing
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and manual processes through detailed analysis
  • Evaluate automation opportunities using off-the-shelf tools and custom AI solutions
  • Create comprehensive AI automation roadmaps with implementation plans and impact estimates
  • Prioritize opportunities based on ROI, implementation speed, and business impact
  • Translate roadmaps into clear specifications for implementation teams
  • Provide project oversight to ensure alignment with original vision
  • Collaborate with engineers and builders executing automation work
  • Adjust roadmaps based on technical constraints and new insights

Requirements

  • Experience in consulting, operations, product, or systems design
  • Strong understanding of AI tools including LLMs, agents, and automation platforms
  • Proficiency with workflow automation tools like Zapier, Make, and APIs
  • Ability to think in systems and workflows, not just individual tools
  • Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured plans
  • Comfortable leading client-facing conversations
  • Capability to quickly understand how different businesses operate

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience building or implementing automations
  • Background in startups, agencies, or operational roles
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, service businesses, or SMBs
  • Experience writing clear documentation and specifications
