Role Overview

Join Businessolver as a Business Development Representative and play a crucial role in driving growth for a market-leading benefits technology company. In this remote role, you'll be at the forefront of our sales efforts, identifying and developing high-quality leads through strategic prospecting and relationship building. You'll work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with internal sales teams to move prospects through the buyer's journey, from initial contact to qualified opportunities.

This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on company growth while developing your sales skills in the rapidly evolving benefits technology space.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts to create sales-ready leads and opportunities
  • Execute outbound calling and email campaigns using various discovery and research tools
  • Research executive contact information for target prospects using Google, LinkedIn, Zoom Info, Salesforce, and related platforms
  • Generate high volume of prospect engagement activity following defined research and prospecting strategies
  • Communicate product value and marketplace differentiation to various buyer personas
  • Nurture prospects along the buyer's journey and achieve front-end sales KPI quotas
  • Handle top-of-funnel objections and conduct cold calling activities
  • Schedule qualified business appointments on sales consultants' calendars
  • Log all activities and maintain accurate records in Salesforce
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal sales teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in business development, inside sales, lead generation, or recruitment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent discovery and active listening abilities
  • Comfort with prospecting and cold calling through multiple channels (voice, email, social media)
  • Proven track record setting appointments with C-Suite, VPs, Directors, and key decision makers
  • Highly accountable with commitment to achieving results
  • Continuous learning mindset with ability to apply new knowledge effectively

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce or related CRM systems
  • LinkedIn experience and proficiency
  • Background in HR or benefits industry
