Role Overview

Join Bright Horizons as a Customer Lifecycle & Marketing Automation Manager, where you'll drive innovative email marketing programs across our diverse portfolio of education and care services. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, managing everything from demand generation campaigns to customer retention programs while working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize performance.

You'll own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy for our Camp brands, designing personalized customer journeys that span from initial awareness through re-engagement. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge marketing automation technology, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, while developing differentiated strategies across multiple camp brands and product offerings including summer programs, holiday camps, and virtual experiences.

As a remote position available throughout the United States, you'll serve as the internal email marketing consultant and subject matter expert, driving engagement, conversion, and lifetime value through data-driven, personalized marketing automation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and report on customer and prospect-facing email marketing programs including demand generation, events, newsletters and retention campaigns
  • Create automated, multi-touch, targeted prospect and customer lifecycle digital marketing programs and journeys
  • Own end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy for Camp brands with primary focus on email marketing
  • Manage email marketing platform including audience segmentation, journey design, campaign setup, automations, and testing
  • Design and optimize holistic customer journeys across all lifecycle stages tailored by brand, product, and customer segment
  • Monitor daily email sends and data transfer processes to ensure proper execution of email programs
  • Report on email campaign delivery and journeys while providing optimization insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with CRM, Creative, Performance Marketing, Social, and Paid Media teams for coordinated execution
  • Lead lifecycle campaign ideation and roadmap planning to support enrollment, cross-sell, retention, and loyalty
  • Audit and recommend best practices for marketing automation, oversee integration upgrades, and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain current marketing automation documentation including naming conventions, best practices, and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or additional 4 years of experience)
  • 5+ years experience implementing and managing Marketing Automation programs and technology
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) and/or Pardot preferred
  • Hands-on experience owning and operating email marketing or marketing automation platforms
  • Strong understanding of email marketing principles and best practices
  • Proven ability to orchestrate personalized customer journeys using data-driven experimentation
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using performance metrics to inform strategy
  • Experience managing projects of varying complexity with strong time and project management skills
  • Understanding of persona-based marketing, targeting and segmentation
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Certification with Salesforce and marketing automation tools
  • Marketing Cloud AMPScript familiarity and experience
  • HTML and Adobe Photoshop skills
  • Knowledge of A/B Testing and Multivariate Testing practices
  • Experience developing multi-channel campaigns in consumer-facing or family-oriented brand environment
  • Experience collaborating with copywriters or content partners for email content development
