Role Overview

Join Human Intelligence as an Automation Workflow Specialist, where you'll design and implement AI-enabled automation solutions across diverse brands and digital products. This remote contractor role focuses on building production-grade automation systems that support operational, marketing, clinical, and analytic functions with robust monitoring and dependable execution.

You'll work independently to create sophisticated workflows using GoHighLevel, Zapier, and n8n, with emphasis on precision engineering that includes proper error handling, monitoring layers, and recovery processes. This position is perfect for detail-oriented automation specialists who excel at building reliable, scalable systems with comprehensive documentation.

Responsibilities

Manage full lifecycle automation from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing monitoring
Build production-grade systems using webhooks, retry logic, queues, structured logs, and real-time alerts
Design workflows with proper error paths, retries, monitoring layers, and idempotency
Protect sensitive data and enforce proper permissions in alignment with PII/PHI expectations
Create operational dashboards, runbooks, and structured documentation with version control
Configure and test automation systems to ensure reliable execution
Implement recovery processes and fallback plans for system resilience
Produce clear handover materials and maintain comprehensive documentation

Requirements

Proven background building advanced GoHighLevel automations with API/webhook integrations
Strong proficiency with Zapier or n8n automation platforms
Expertise in monitoring frameworks and idempotent workflow design
Advanced skills in logging, retries, and error handling implementation
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Ability to work independently on focused automation projects
Strong English communication capabilities
Experience with production-grade automation system deployment

Nice to Have

Basic scripting skills in JavaScript or Python
