Role Overview

Join Workday's marketing operations team as a Senior Marketing Automation Manager, where you'll serve as the primary architect for our Marketo foundation and help evolve our core marketing tech stack. This role combines strategic systems design with hands-on execution, focusing on building scalable systems that connect Marketing to Sales.

You'll play a pivotal role in our growth by blueprinting M&A integrations and building AI-ready data foundations that power next-generation marketing operations. This position offers the opportunity to transform complex technical requirements into seamless, user-friendly workflows while working with a team of analytical thinkers and technical architects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, optimize, and scale core Marketo instance and foundational marketing automation infrastructure
  • Create, maintain, and deliver comprehensive documentation for marketing operations processes and platforms
  • Blueprint and map M&A integrations, acting as technical guide for unifying new business units
  • Create data mapping and system consolidation plans for seamless ecosystem transitions
  • Identify and implement AI-driven features to improve automation efficiency and operational workflows
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and MarTech teams to ensure system integration and business alignment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve marketing automation and lead management issues
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains in marketing operations

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in Marketing Automation or Operations with enterprise-scale Marketo instances
  • Deep knowledge of Marketo and Salesforce with understanding of system architecture business impact
  • Experience mapping data schemas and migrating systems during company acquisitions
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into actionable guides
  • High attention to detail and passion for building lasting solutions
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
  • Problem-solving skills with focus on scalable solutions

Nice to Have

  • Background managing marketing tech stacks in complex or global organizations
  • Familiarity with lead scoring and routing models
  • Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B and Adobe Real-Time CDP
  • Knowledge of other Adobe marketing technologies
  • Project management experience or certification
  • Passion for AI in MarTech and implementing AI functionalities
