Role Overview

Join Virtual Assist as an AI Automation & Backend Developer where you'll architect cutting-edge workflows and build user-facing dashboards that leverage the latest in AI technology. This role goes beyond traditional coding - you'll be designing comprehensive automation systems, building RAG agents, and using modern low-code AI tools to rapidly ship innovative products.

You'll work with a modern tech stack including n8n for automation, Lovable.dev for frontend development, and advanced AI architecture to create systems where users can interact with data through intelligent interfaces. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of AI automation while building scalable, user-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and deploy complex n8n automations for multi-step workflows
Create user-facing dashboards and admin panels using Lovable.dev
Build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems for AI-data interaction
Develop backends enabling users to chat with PDF documents and datasets
Write and deploy Python/JavaScript scripts for data scraping, cleaning, and API middleware
Connect and integrate complex APIs (REST/GraphQL)
Communicate code logic clearly via Slack/Zoom during US business hours

Requirements

Expert-level proficiency with n8n for building comprehensive workflows
Experience with Lovable.dev for rapid dashboard development
Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript (Node.js)
Experience building RAG Models and AI architecture
Proven experience connecting complex APIs (REST/GraphQL)
Must have used Cursor IDE or similar AI-assisted development tools
Fluent English with excellent spoken and written communication skills
Available to work during New York business hours (EST)

Nice to Have

Experience with modern low-code AI tools
Background in data scraping and cleaning
Experience building user-facing AI interfaces
