Role Overview

As an AI Automation Engineer in Leadtech's Applied AI Lab, you'll be at the forefront of connecting powerful AI agents and LLMs to real-world workflows using low-code orchestration tools like n8n, Claude Agent Teams, LangChain, and backend APIs. You'll design automations that integrate foundational AI models, APIs, databases, and user-facing systems, enabling fast, scalable, and maintainable deployment of intelligent workflows.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies while building practical solutions that support teams across marketing, content operations, HR, legal, and finance. You'll collaborate closely with product managers and AI training specialists to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable features that power real-world business processes.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and extend end-to-end automation pipelines using n8n, Google Workspace Studio, LangChain, and Claude tools
Design and deploy multi-step processes involving LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini) via prompt chains, tool calling, and function execution
Automate tasks across systems including vector DBs (Pinecone, Weaviate), OpenAI/Gemini APIs, Notion, Slack, and email platforms
Set up event-driven architecture with listeners and webhooks to automate tasks based on triggers
Route user inputs, analyze outputs, and trigger relevant services through low-latency pipelines
Ship AI-powered automations quickly to support internal teams across various departments
Collaborate on integration with n8n-based workflow automation engine
Build and maintain backend infrastructure to support agent and model endpoints via FastAPI or Express
Collaborate with team on application deployment and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform

Requirements

Mastery of n8n including custom workflows, custom nodes, webhook triggers, data parsing, retries, and error handlers
Experience with Claude Cowork and hands-on experience with LangChain
Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Bash, and workflow scripting (YAML-based pipelines)
Familiarity with FastAPI, Node.js, and database integration (Pinecone, PostgreSQL, Redis, BigQuery)
Understanding of how to secure, scale, and monitor n8n in production
Experience building quick workflows in Cursor
Strong problem-solving mindset and collaborative approach
Genuine passion for artificial intelligence and building AI-powered products

Nice to Have

Previous experience working on AI projects or interacting with large language models (LLMs)
Knowledge of cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Awareness of LangFlow features and pros/cons
