Role Overview

Join McKesson Technology's AI & Automation team as a Senior Business Analyst, where you'll serve as the critical bridge between business units and our AI transformation initiatives. This role puts you at the forefront of digital transformation in healthcare, working to identify and shape AI opportunities that deliver measurable value across our Fortune 10 organization.

As the key liaison between stakeholders and our technical teams, you'll translate complex business challenges into actionable AI use cases, develop comprehensive business cases, and ensure that our AI initiatives move seamlessly from concept to execution. You'll work directly with the AI Transformation Delivery Lead and Technical AI Enablement Lead, reporting to the VP of AI & Automation.

This position is essential to ensuring McKesson's AI transformation delivers tangible outcomes for both our organization and the patients we serve, making this an exciting opportunity to shape the future of healthcare technology.

Responsibilities

Partner with business units to identify and qualify AI and automation opportunities aligned with strategic priorities
Lead discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions to translate business challenges into well-defined use cases
Develop comprehensive business cases for AI initiatives, including benefits, resource requirements, and success criteria
Document detailed functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with technical teams
Create clear artifacts including process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support solution design
Define and agree success metrics and KPIs for each use case with stakeholders
Track and report on benefits realization to ensure delivered solutions achieve intended business impact
Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement
Build trusted relationships with business unit leaders and subject matter experts
Support change management activities to help business units adopt AI-enabled solutions

Requirements

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in technology transformation, data, or AI-driven environments
Strong ability to engage with business stakeholders at all levels and document requirements with clarity
Experience developing business cases including benefit identification, cost estimation, and ROI analysis
Demonstrated capability in use case development from opportunity identification through detailed requirements
Solid understanding of AI, automation, and analytics concepts with ability to assess feasibility
Excellent facilitation and workshop skills to lead discovery sessions and drive stakeholder alignment
Experience in benefits tracking and value realization including defining success metrics
Strong documentation skills producing clear requirements specifications, process maps, and user stories
7+ years of relevant professional experience including 3+ years in business analysis roles
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

Nice to Have

Experience working on AI, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics initiatives
Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, BCS)
Experience in large, complex, multinational organizations
Background in healthcare or regulated industries
