Role Overview

Join loyos bi GmbH as a Senior BI Platform & Data Automation Engineer and take ownership of our platform architecture's technical foundation. You'll be responsible for developing and evolving our internal platform for customer onboarding and lifecycle management, focusing on deployment, setup, and automation logic.

This role offers the opportunity to architect scalable Power BI workspace structures, automate complex deployment processes, and build robust data models that support our growing customer base. You'll work at the intersection of business intelligence, data engineering, and automation, creating solutions that enable seamless multi-workspace orchestration while maintaining security and governance standards.

As a key technical contributor, you'll collaborate closely with Product, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to translate business requirements into stable, scalable technical architectures within the Microsoft Power BI and Fabric ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain architecture for Power BI workspace and deployment structures
Design and automate deployment and release processes using Power Automate and Power BI REST API
Model structured data models for customers, tenants, and versions with clean relational structures
Implement SQL-based logging, status tracking, and monitoring mechanisms
Orchestrate secure multi-workspace architectures while mitigating data leakage risks
Analyze dependencies between reports, datasets, and dataflows to ensure repeatable deployments
Develop stable ownership and governance logic for sales, support, and automation processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical architectures
Contribute to platform strategy development in Microsoft Power BI and Fabric environments

Requirements

Several years of experience in BI, data engineering, or automation environments
Strong understanding of relational data models and advanced SQL skills (JOINs, DML, stored procedures)
Advanced knowledge of Power BI (Datasets, Dataflows Gen1/Gen2, Deployment Pipelines, Rebinding, Service vs Desktop, Gateway & Credentials)
Multi-year experience with Power Automate (Cloud Flows, HTTP Actions, error handling, concurrency, asynchronous processes)
Understanding of REST APIs, OAuth fundamentals, and ability to read and analyze JSON structures
Ability to recognize systemic relationships and understand how structural changes affect multiple processes
Structured, precise work approach with high quality and security awareness
Excellent German language skills (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

Experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
Background in platform architecture and scalable system design
Experience with multi-tenant SaaS environments
