Role Overview

Join Altisource as a Finance AI & Automation Lead and architect the future of finance through cutting-edge AI technology. In this high-impact, CFO-facing role, you'll transform traditional finance operations into a real-time, productized platform that leverages AI to automate and enhance critical financial processes.

As part of Altisource's "Default to AI" strategy, you'll have the unique opportunity to design and implement AI-driven systems across multiple business units in the mortgage and real estate technology space. Working directly with executive leadership, you'll enjoy broad autonomy to define priorities, architect solutions, and deliver measurable business impact.

This consultant role combines the excitement of building next-generation finance technology with the stability and resources of an established, innovation-focused company. You'll be at the forefront of financial automation, creating tools that business partners love to use while simplifying complex processes through intelligent design.

Responsibilities

Build AI-powered workflows that automate reporting, forecasting, close, reconciliation, and variance analysis
Develop event-driven data pipelines from ERP and financial systems into cloud warehouses using Snowflake/BigQuery
Create natural-language interfaces for instant access to finance data without analyst dependency
Design self-service tools for budgeting, scenario planning, accruals, opex/capex, and headcount planning
Own finance data architecture including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and segment reporting models
Drive automation across core finance cycles (close, FP&A, revenue, procurement)
Implement strong governance frameworks including lineage, documentation, approvals, and audit trails
Partner directly with CFO and leadership team to define OKRs and prioritize automation opportunities
Collaborate with centralized Technology team to leverage shared AI platforms and governance standards
Deliver measurable improvements in accuracy, speed, and manual work elimination

Requirements

3+ years of experience building finance-oriented data or automation systems
Deep SQL and data modeling expertise
Advanced Python skills for automation, data pipelines, and AI agent development
Hands-on experience with data warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift) and dbt
Experience building LLM-powered applications including prompt engineering and RAG pipelines
Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, or similar)
Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock) into production workflows
Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Temporal, n8n)
Understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and systems integration
Product mindset with focus on shipping solutions that drive adoption

Nice to Have

Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and services, preferably AWS
Experience in mortgage/real estate technology or marketplace environments
Background in analytics, FP&A engineering, or data engineering
