Role Overview
Remote · Fractional → Full-time · 20-30 hrs/week to start · English B2+
Build the AI systems that make our Talent Partners unstoppable.
In 2026, classic sourcing is being rebuilt in real time. Agents process hundreds of millions of profiles overnight, but most recruiting teams are still running 2020 workflows. We don't want another sourcer who competes with the agent - we want the person who builds it.
This is the first dedicated role of its kind in the Ukrainian recruiting market. No legacy stack to fight, no playbook to inherit - you build it from scratch, with an open budget to experiment.
How we use AI - and how we don't
AI is for: going wider and deeper than any human team can - past LinkedIn, into GitHub contributions, conference talks, niche communities, open-source maintainer lists. Freeing Talent Partners from manual sourcing. Giving us honest, real-time funnel data instead of vibes.
AI is not for: candidate conversations or hiring decisions. Every interview and every close is human, always. AI surfaces signal - humans decide. That line is non-negotiable, and this role exists to expand our research surface, not automate our communication.
If that distinction is the reason you're still reading, you're our person.
What success looks like (first 3 months)
You'll know this role is working when:
Time-to-first-candidate drops from ~2 weeks to 2-3 days. When a search opens, the first qualified candidate hits the client within days, not weeks.
Talent Partners run ~10 high-signal interviews per role, up from ~5, because you've taken manual sourcing off their plate and given them the bandwidth to talk to the best people we can find.
3-4 sourcing hypotheses run in parallel from week one - no more sequential testing. We let data win.
Team Tailor becomes the single source of truth. Every candidate we touch is in the ATS, profiles are complete, data flows in automatically, with funnel analytics the whole team trusts, and no debate about whether the numbers are right.
What you'll build
Sourcing and screening agents across client engagements, internal hires, and proactive market mapping - integrating Team Tailor, Juicebox / PeopleGPT, Clay, Apollo, etc., and our internal knowledge base into reusable workflows.
Prompt libraries and evaluation frameworks that turn our Talent Partners' tacit knowledge into templates AI can run at scale, with clear human checkpoints.
Recruiting analytics infrastructure - real-time funnel dashboards per role and per recruiter (reachouts → replies → interviews → presentations), with data collected automatically across Team Tailor, LinkedIn, Slack, and Gmail.
You'll prototype, benchmark, and ship weekly, and document what works and what doesn't. If you want a public stage as a pioneer in this space, we'll give you one.
Who this is for
You already built with AI - shipped agents, automations, and custom tools. Side projects count. Messy Clay tables count. Half-finished repos that actually run count.
You think in systems. When you see a manual workflow, your instinct is "how do I make this run itself?"
You speak recruiting - ICP, sourcing funnel, outreach quality, scorecards. You don't need to have recruited, but the logic should click in the first meeting.
You're self-directed and allergic to micromanagement. Wide latitude, high expectations.
Requirements
Demonstrated AI/automation building - send us something real, not a resume.
Comfortable reading and writing APIs and light Python. This is a builder role, not a no-code-only one.
English B2+ - for technical docs, APIs, and AI tooling. No client-facing communication required.
Available 20-30 hrs/week to start, open to growing into full-time.
Comfort with ambiguity - the role is new, and we'll shape it together.
Nice to have: prior recruiting/sourcing/RecOps exposure · experience with Team Tailor, Greenhouse, or similar · a blog, GitHub, or X presence in AI tooling.
Stack
ATS/CRM (TeamTailor) · Metaview · Juicebox / PeopleGPT · Clay · Apollo · LinkedIn Recruiter · n8n / Make / Zapier · Google Apps Script · Python · Claude / ChatGPT / Gemini APIs · Slack · Notion · Custom integration. Open budget for anything new you want to test.
How we work
A-Players is a US-based recruiting company with a Ukrainian core team. We work exclusively with impact-driven tech startups and VCs in the US and Europe - from YC-backed teams to post-Series A companies. We don't operate as an agency: we embed in our clients' teams, work on a full-exclusivity basis, and own searches end-to-end.
Small, high-bar team. Open-budget culture with real transparency on numbers and decisions. Excellence and empathy, both. AI-forward by default - we block AI-mimicry candidates from client pipelines and expect our own team to be AI-native.
You'll work closely with the Talent Partners (your first users), the Operations team (systems and integrations), and the C-level (strategy and roadmap). Expect to shadow live searches for the first 2-3 weeks before making any changes.

Three or four sentences on one A-Players problem you’d want to solve in your first month.
Think sourcing systems, candidate research, automation, funnel data, ATS workflows, or anything else where you see leverage.
