Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Head of AI & Automation to lead qiibee's transformation into an AI-first company. This is our first dedicated AI hire and one of our most consequential roles, where you'll own the end-to-end rollout of AI agents across the entire organization.

You'll sit at the intersection of strategy and engineering, working directly with every team to identify where AI creates the most leverage and then building it yourself. This is a hands-on role where you'll design and implement scalable AI and automation workflows, from quick wins to complex multi-step agentic pipelines.

Working closely with our small, fast-moving team, you'll have a greenfield mandate with no legacy processes or bureaucracy - just full ownership from day one to shape how we operate as an AI-first company.

Responsibilities

Lead company-wide AI agent strategy, own the roadmap, and personally build and deploy agents using Claude and team-specific tools
Partner with Sales, CS, Product, Finance, Ops, and Engineering to identify manual workflows and convert them into intelligent automated pipelines
Define prompt design and agent logic for both simple automations and complex multi-agent systems
Maintain a live registry tracking agent performance and cost across all deployments
Design and run company-wide AI programs including hackathons, onboarding tracks, and dogfooding initiatives
Establish frameworks to track cycle time reduction, error rates, cost avoidance, and productivity gains
Implement guardrails for responsible AI use, overseeing data handling, access controls, and compliance
Lead structured AI watch program to monitor trends, emerging tools, and regulations
Create reusable internal playbooks and reference implementations
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to showcase the company's AI capabilities externally

Requirements

Deep hands-on experience with the Claude/Anthropic ecosystem and multiple LLM frameworks
Proven expertise with automation platforms like Make, n8n, or Zapier, having shipped business-critical workflows
Strong command of REST APIs, webhooks, data pipelines, and external connectors like HubSpot, Notion, and Google Workspace
Ability to design and manage complex multi-agent systems and identify high-leverage automation opportunities
Solid understanding of data handling, privacy, access controls, vendor risk, and compliance in AI environments
Track record of measuring success through tangible business outcomes like cycle time and error reduction
Experience operating in high-growth fintech environments, ideally at startup or scale-up stage
Strong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders and ability to create engaging content
